PropFirmRated exists because the prop firm review space is broken. Most review sites rank firms based on who pays the highest affiliate commission, not who actually delivers for traders. We do things differently.

Our methodology

Every firm is scored across four weighted factors. The weights reflect what actually matters to a trader choosing a prop firm — and they're public so you can verify our work.

Payout history (30%)Verified payouts, speed, and consistency. Firms that have frozen or delayed payouts are heavily penalised.
Challenge fairness (25%)Are profit targets realistic relative to drawdown limits? Can you actually trade your strategy?
Trustpilot score (25%)Raw Trustpilot rating, manually filtered for signal — ignoring rage reviews and signup-day reviews.
Value for money (20%)Challenge fee vs funded capital vs profit split. True cost per dollar of funded capital (TCPD).

Here's what we commit to: affiliate commissions never influence our rankings. A firm paying us 40% commission and a firm paying us 8% are scored using the exact same methodology. If the 8% firm has a better payout track record, it ranks higher. Full stop.

We believe transparency about this is essential. Every competitor in this space earns affiliate commissions — the difference is whether they tell you about it and whether it influences their rankings. We do and it doesn't.
