Topstep's 14-year track record and $1.1B in payouts make it the safest bet in prop trading. The commission-free TopstepX platform is a genuine cost advantage for active futures traders. The weaknesses are real though: platform lock-in, the tiny 0.71% live-funding conversion rate, and the $5K payout cap. If you're a futures trader who values stability above all else, Topstep is the answer. If you want flexibility or forex access, look elsewhere.
